    Phoenix Honey Orchid

    凤凰单枞乌龙茶

This oolong tea is traditionally crafted in the famous Phoenix mountain range of Guangdong province, China. Often referred to as Dan Cong or 'single bush' tea, it has a mythical origin story: the original ten tea bushes used to create this style of oolong – each with a unique flavour and aroma – were bestowed upon the emperor by a phoenix. Our Phoenix Honey Orchid is also named for its authentic fruity and floral flavour, which comes with a pleasing roasted richness and a touch of astringency.

      Smooth, delicate and delicious

This is by far our favorite of the Oolong Teas sold by Jing (and we've tried them all!). My husband is rather particular about tea and askes that we order this one as soon as it's run out.

      A taste of heaven

First thing in the morning or in the afternoon with a nice biscuit or even after a stressful day at work a hot cup of Phoenix Honey Orchid is just what I need. The colour, the smell and the bright sweet honey taste makes me feel like royalty. Try it, you will not be disappointed!

      A beautiful tea

This an excellent batch of one of my favourite teas. It seems to have more texture and creaminess than previous batches but still retains the magical flavours and aromas for which Phoenix oolongs are famous. A floral, fruity, roasted gem with a little bit of pleasing astringency on the finish. Every time I drink this tea I'm in awe that such flavours can be coaxed from humble tea leaves. That's the skill of master tea makers I guess!

Be sure to warm your teaware, then add the dry leaf, shake a little then have a smell - delightful!

      Great Tea

Not like a Tie Guan Yin from the East, but a delicious refined taste.

      simply delicious

This tea was first recommended to me when I popped into the JING tea shop on a whim. It's now one of my favourites! Subtle but full of flavour and with a lovely sweet note (even my green tea hating partner loves it). Also perfect for cold brewing, which really brings out the full range of flavour notes.

      Strong favourite

I keep coming back to this one. The smell, the taste, the longevity of the flavour – I can drink it all day. A sweeter alternative to Wuyi oolong this one is a must to try.

      My favourite oolong

This has been a firm favourite oolong of mine for many years now. Well balanced, and particularly refreshing on brew number 2-3. Thanks Jing tea for keeping this tea in my cupboard for so long!

      A Rich and soothing experience.

A Wonderful tea of rich complexity. There really is a wide variety of notes within this Tea. Deep fruit notes giving way to a smooth honeyed roundness. I shall certainly be buying this one again. Delicious.

      amazing tea!

Where do we start‰Û_ lets see i did order this tea a while ago just because i liked the name Phoenix Honey Orchid, it sounded wonderful but does it keep up to its keep up in taste?I had a pretty hard time figuring out the amount off leaf i needed to use, first 3 times i tried to brew i had not enough leaf, then to many. I almost gave up in trying to figure it out. Needles to say the taste with not enough leaf was a let down, and when i had to many well it was not really bitter but it tasted not like i expected or hoped it to taste. Now that i got it right for my taste buds I'm kind off surprised! It tastes very bright and fruity, maybe citrus or light tropical fruit. I'm not pretty sure about what I'm tasting but I'm loving it. This tea grows on me, i had a lot off trouble figuring out what and how, maybe i got it wrong in the first place because the leafs are so long and tippy that it looks like u got to many leafs in there, the pot is pretty filled with dry leafs now. it looks funny because most off the time i drink rolled up teas or small black teas. Back to the brewing I'm on my 4th cup now, still getting a very very nice flavour from these leafs, its almost feeling like a waste that i wasted allot off this expensive tea with just trying and trying‰Û_ but it feels good to finally have it the way i like and love it!o and the colour is bright golden orange, it looks amazing in my glass teacup!

      Great Tea

I'm new to the tea thing - a recent convert from years of espresso. This tea is delightful. The first brew was very biscuity at 1st, going in in later infusions to become delicate & floral.
