This revered tea, known in China as Huangshan Maofeng, comes to us from the mountain-top garden of Mr. Zhang Min, among the lofty peaks of rural Anhui province. Picked in the early spring from abandoned tea bushes on a semi-wild plot of land, the delicate young buds and leaves are carefully fired and rolled to create this iconic tea, capturing the purity of spring-fresh flavour with hints of savouriness and bright, floral aromas.

The perfect cup

  • Measure 5g or 1tbsp per cup (250ml)
  • Heat water to 75°C
