Organic Assam Gold

Assam is rightly famous for its beautifully rich and malty black teas

Once a neglected and run-down estate, Tonganagaon was transformed into a flourishing, organic tea garden during the late 2000s. Today, the garden is home to a cultivated varietal of the assamica tea bush, prized for its large tea buds used to create the refined flavours of red berries and honey in this black tea – while maintaining the fortifying and malty character synonymous with the Assam terroir. As with our Assam Breakfast, these naturally robust qualities make it perfect for enjoying at breakfast time, with or without milk.

  • Cultivar - Camellia sinensis var. assamica
  • Picked - Summer
  • Oxidisation level - 100%
