Handmade Ceremonial Matcha Bowl

Features

Handmade by Japanese potter Seigo Kato, this bowl is a beautiful example of Mino ware, one of the most ancient and popular Japanese styles. It is named after Mino city, at the heart of the Gifu prefecture in the scenic Japanese Alps. The region is rich in kaolin – a key mineral in a potter’s soil – which led many potters to emigrate to Mino, prompting the building of ceramic kilns that are still active today. Each bowl is unique in its glazing and texture, embodying the identity of its maker. Care: Gentle hand wash with warm water only

    Chawan

So happy I added this to my collection of chawan. The cream glaze really makes the matcha look even more vibrant too
